What will happen to Colin Powell?
Any future in government for this once shining star?

Is he history?

3. He will drift into the disgraced obscurity
he so richly deserves - this is one soldier who has truly betrayed is country. He had so much to give and he flushed it all away - so sad......

6. First black SOS. Yes, he's history. In all the books.
People will treat that POS with respect until the day he dies and then he'll look even better.

I have no idea how the devil will greet him, however.

7. Hopefully, he'll run away and spend his remaining years under a rock.
Powell is as bad as any of the Bushbabies.

8. He will portray himself as the moderating influence

Colin will present himself as the moderating influence in an administration of extremists. He'll say that he needed to stay and do his best so they would not be even more extreme. I think it's bunk. Colin would save face if he resigned this evening and said he was voting for Kerry.

11. I don't know, but Americans should harass him for the rest of his life.
If he doesn't go to prison, then he should be egged at every public appearance - forever!

I did it a while back. I did this a few hours ago (based on another design I did a couple months ago):

13. Depends on who wins.
If the neo-cons triumph, I wouldn't rule out arrest.

Powell has, in his own way, tried to bring some reason and sanity to foreign policy. And there is that whole (apparently sensible) State Department plan for the (Iraq) war.

That kind of stuff really pisses off the neo-cons no end... and they are really big into revenge.

And no, I am not defending Powell -- I judge a man by the results of his actions -- it is the neo-cons who are the ones that are big on "attitude"... and from their point of view, Powell's attitude must suck.

14. I don't give a damn.
I once respected the man, but it was his phony image I respected. He's a sellout. A 'yes' man. He sold his soul to the Bush agenda, when he could have likely been our first black President. What a disappointing let down.

16. he'll work for a large company
some place he can use his stature to get big contracts for his company. He's a power hungry bitch, just because he doesnt agree with Bush whole heartedly doesn't mean he's a voice of reason.

18. That dumbass could've been President
The job was his virtually for the asking.

And he spent all that goodwill and political capital on playing bagman for Bushco. Now he looks like one of the biggest dorks in the country.

I hope he hears that every day for the rest of his life -- "You could've been President Powell, but noooo, you threw your lot in with the pinhead scion of a crime family. Happy with where you are now?"
