I have an expatriate forum in Europe and some of the members who are Dems are quite distraught with the thought of another four years of Bushco in power... one even thinking of giving up US citizenship.
It's been hard on many of the American Democrat expatriates in Europe over the last four years with the majority of their adopted or temporary European neighbours sliding towards anti-Bush and inevitable anti-Americanism over the aggressive foreign policy of the current administration.
The mainstream media in Europe is covering the whole Iraq debacle much differently and in a harder light than what is being laid out in America - and that has definitely had an effect on many American's living overseas.
With over 7 million US expatriates living outside the country, they also represent enormous potential in a close election. Well educated, adventurous, often multiligual, expats are by and large Democrats...
Let's hope 'Bobby' - an ex-marine, and proud American - will remain one in December.
Kerry for President!
