is this ONLY because of how highly screened the B/C audience is? Or... is it an indication of something else?

1. I don't know
Usually * gets supporters bused in from every Bible banging church in a 3 state radius. Then throws in Ahh-nold, Rudy, or some blow dried country singer. I'd figure he'd really be pulling out the stops now. Maybe they're afraid he'll get shot.

2. I 'll see wednesday when he's in town if people are coming out for him.
Edited on Tue Oct-26-04 12:21 AM by notadmblnd
I live near where he will be appearing. I think I sit up at the corner restaurant and watch the traffic. Both major No/So I75 and E/W M59 freeways run just blocks from my home. Normaly when there is an event at the Palace of Auburn Hills, traffic is so bad you cant leave the house.

3. Traffic may not be a good indication
The sierra club is planning a protest - so the heavier traffic may be from the Kerry supporters. :)

5. Is he gonna be at the Palace in Auburn Hills?
(Damn! I'd love to be within rotten-egg-shot of him. I wonder whether it's worth the effort to drive out Livernois from Royal Oak and hang a left.)

6. yeah, I dont know if they'll chopper him in or close the freeways
like they did when he was in Waterford a couple of months ago. If they do drive, he's gonnapiss a lot of people off. I75, M59 and M24 are bumper to bumper now between 4:30 and 6:pm.

I was watching cable schmooze today (to see President Bill).

They showed a Bush assembly -- all indoors, and at times certain chants were started, and I was impressed at how these reverberated against the walls in a very orc-like manner. Perhaps a "beau geste"?

I myself have been saying for years that revulsion towards Bush -- across a wide spectrum of Americans -- has been under-reported. Others, more recently, have been predicting a big surprise for the "pundits" next week -- that they've been missing out on a lot of informative reality by having their heads up their asses....

For those of us who *read* -- broadcast and cable media is bizarre. The very interesting development is that many people who get their news SOLELY from broadcast and cable media have caught on that they are being "punked." It's not the notion that the specific flavor of their political beliefs is not represented, but that what is reported as "news" is total bullshit -- and these same good folk would denounce bullshit even if it reflected their own views.

As Jon Stewart said on Crossfire -- in response to Begala who said both sides hold their positions passionately and THAT's why they say what they say-- sorry -- that is BS, and it is disturbing that they seem to be hypnotized to believe they are living in reality when We the People see it as absurdist street theatre posing as "mainstream". It's just a paycheck for these losers -- not a conviction..... Stewart was very successful at revealing them to be the one-trick pony whores that they are -- they really could't even BEGIN to engage in rational discussion. (Bravo Jon -- we all want to have your babies.)

While I believe that president pinhead is manifesting the very worst of what America is capable of -- here and abroad -- this descent into darkness will not effectively end until these monsters are exposed and discredited. Let's start with the NeoCons and the religiously insane, then move on to the corporate jailers of free speech -- the media owners -- and then move onto the idiotic pundits, who really should be the ones selling off their possessions on Ebay or greeting at WalMart -- because they are parasites bleeding our hard-won democracy dry.

9. There was a report from Bush's appearance on Monday
and the reporter was standing in the empty part of the arena... looking back you could see the small stage set designed to LOOK like a huge crowd for the cameras. There were maybe 1000 people TOPS. The report was about something else on the campaign trail, but it was the speaking 'set piece' that was so interesting...

12. I wish you were right.
In Hershey, PA Bush spoke before 30,000. The brainwashed, the uninformed, and the fearful came out to see their Fuhrer.

14. Lets try a hypothetical situation
Here are the parameters:

1) ShrubCo does not bus people in from 1st Fundevangelical Church of the Greenback Dollar

2) ShrubCo does not make people sign those McCarthy-esque Loyalty Oath things

How many people would show up? Let me rephrase...how many people would show up that weren't there to protest? I reckon very few.

And anyway, the Busheviks have already shown that they will stop at nothing to block hundreds of thousands of votes.

19. It indicates that W is working on his concession speech
because you can't deny reality. The polls that are reported in the media are bogus and they know it.

However, what we are seeing on the ground, is large and very enthusiastic crowds everywhere Kerry or Edwards go, while Bush can't fill an average size venue and Cheney only meets with small hand picked groups.

Plus early voting is turning out to be heavily Democratic so far. The writing is on the wall. Bush is toast.

This is a make believe campaign - smoke and mirrors. he is not trying to convince anyone - just trying to look as if he does. It's all made for TV/Diebold
