Has anyone seen Capturing the Friedmans?
Edited on Sat Aug-30-03 02:23 PM by AP
It's very interesting. It's a lot like The Thin Blue Line, except, in TTBL, it was very clear what the truth was. There were three or four people telling the truth in TTBL, and it wasn't the cops, the prosecutors or the star witness, and it was obvious at the end that they guy on death row was innocent.

In CTF, however, it isn't clear what the truth was. Clearly, the cops were lying. Clearly, family members were lying. Clearly the father was lying. However, it really seemed, at some moments, that the father was decided to...well, I'm not going to spoil it for someone who hasn't seen it.

However, I think it's very telling that David, in the opening interview, claims that his father died of a heart attack.

If you've seen it, who do you think was telling the truth and who was telling lies?
