Poll question: Which close race from the past would you have most wanted to vote in?

Here's a list of some of the real nailbiters of the past. If you voted in the race, please don't pick it. Pick one you couldn't vote in but you wish you could have.
I couldn't vote either. I often wonder how different the world might have been had there never been a Nixon presidency. Of course if RFK not not been assasinated he would have been the Democratic nominee and been elected President, no doubt. Oh, how different the world could have been. sigh.........
4. I was 11. There was a mock election at my elementary school.
I was horrified by the incredibly high percentage that voted for Nixon. Of course their only reason were that their parents were voting for him (military town). Of course I was influenced by my Dem parents, but I also had heard enough around the dinner table, watching the news (they showed the war and bodies in those days) and from reading the newspapers to have clear reasons for what I believed. It shocked me then that people (kids) had no idea why they really supported someone. The wierd thing is that ignorance of issues understandable in 11 year olds is still so widespread in the adult electorate.
