Film assailing Kerry's antiwar stand to open in Abington


Stolen Honor, the documentary that calls Sen. John Kerry's stance against the Vietnam War a "betrayal" of his fellow veterans, will have its world premiere Tuesday at an Abington theater.

It will be the first public showing of the 42-minute film, which the Sinclair Broadcast Group has instructed its 62 television stations to run before the Nov. 2 election, reaching nearly a quarter of the nation's households. Democrats are trying to stop its TV broadcast.

Spurred by Dom Giordano, the conservative talk-show host on Philadelphia's WPHT-AM (1210), the movie producer has rented a 450-seat room at the Baederwood 4 Theatre for a 7 p.m. showing.

The premiere is to be attended by filmmaker Carlton Sherwood and John E. O'Neill, author of Unfit for Command and leader of the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth group that seeks to counter accounts of the Democratic presidential nominee's heroism in battle.

Production notes on the film's Web site accuse Kerry of betraying Vietnam veterans in a 1971 Senate hearing by testifying about fellow veterans' atrocities and criminal acts that the notes say "permanently branded in the American psyche the image of Vietnam veterans as murderous 'baby killers' and 'drugged out losers.' "

9. Al Hunt on CNN just talked about Nightline evidence backing Kerry

Al Hunt on Capitol Gang just talked about how this anti-Kerry documentary was hastily put together by someone who did a film extolling Rev Moon and thus has no credentials, clearly propaganda. Hunt also did a great job explaining how the Nightline report showed that all eyewitnesses in Vietnam village substantially back up Kerry's heroism and the official account of events. He said that when Ted Koppel gave O'Neill a chance to rebut, O'Neill dissembled and fell apart in the face of the evidence. Way to go AL!!!!!
