and even more so when Kerry did. It wasn't essential to the answer. So what if Mary Cheney is openly gay. Does he even know her? Does he not have some other friend or acquaintance who would have consented to be used an as example? Or just answer the question without an example. It was a simple enough question. What do you think, John? Is it a choice or not? Why bring up Mary Cheney? Why, to highlight her dad's hypocrisy, of course. They both did it. Kerry just got in trouble for it.

Sure, maybe the Cheneys are ashamed of their daughter. Sure, Dick looked like a hypocrite by thanking one and not the other. But it WAS a trick, in both cases, and a cheap one in my opinion.

The Rat-publicans are masters at this. I call them the "Enquirer's", or the "Daily Globe" people.

Whenever there's trouble in Washington, or even if there's none at all, they really know how to get a crowd worked up. Look at all the hoopla with Michael Jackson, Scott Peterson, Kobe Bryant, etc etc the list goes on and on.

They are masters of diversion. The country's almost broke? Wait: let's go after Michael Jackson and squeeze as many headlines and sensationalist stories as we can.

Now the REAL issues get buried in very small articles, or are not written about. What's really happening in Iraq and other places where we've got our slimy involvements, are not talked about.
