1. I'm watching....they just said BushCo has hit the ceiling on the deficit
and is now borrowing from the Civil Service Retirement System to finance the expenses for the duration of this administration. Unreal.

They've sponsored the raiding of pension funds from private companies like Enron and now they are raiding government pension funds.

2. Caught the whole discussion....This is what political discussion

should be-the host and guests were informative, articulate and balanced. Kevin Phillips is a true conservative and a totally fascinating man. Katherine van Hueval (sp?) had the line of the night:

"we're not at war in Iraq, we're occupying them; and history has shown that occipations simply do not work...."

6. Isn't it funny how we held Nixon up as the most vile of
politicians for so many years...I'd take him over * in a heartbeat!

3. Philips and Moyers both said
that Sinclair execs should remove the flags from their lapels. Moyers said they should replace it with the symbol they revere the most: the dollar sign.

7. Phillips strongly 'suggested' the Dems pound Sinclair and call them
unpatriotic (for refusing to air Nightline and the reading of names of our dead troops) and call what they're doing with the Stolen Honor project illegal. Loudly and relentlessly.

He more or less told the Dem leadership to get loud and blast Sinclair to pieces. He said the company is a small time operation - I think he almost said 'chickenshit' - (Moyers objected citing the Sinclair reach is to about 25% of the public) in spite of however many stations it controls - it's not a big time media conglomerate.

He said when you don't rise up and show the strength to pound this stuff people don't buy that you'll be able to nail the bigger issues.
