Hello, any legal eagles in the house? A Tenn. Senator (Douglas Henry) wrote me personally and said I should "be arrested for sending this lying smut out on the Internet" (see what he replied to, below).
My question for a laywer: Am I allowed to forward his email including his email addreses, since it was sent from a government address? I want to reply to it, and publicize email exchange.

Pls. kick this, even if not a lawyer, so a lawyer finally sees it.

2. I once received an injudicious reply from a Mass state rep.

I forwarded it to everyone I knew in his state. They contacted his offices. Next thing I knew, emails were sent out saying someone else had been mischieviously using his email but the problem had been corrected. (Sure, fellas.)

This asshole's email address is not a secret. Send it out. Besides, YOUR email was simply a quote from a book printed and sold in the United States. It may be smut, but it wasn't a lie.

...I see it. It appears that you've have been threatened with arrest based on charges that are completely groundless, IMHO. Additionally, he has threatened you by using the Internet, which I believe may be a violation of the law itself.

As long as what you're presenting is based on factual information, there is not a thing that blowhard can do about it from a legal standpoint.

The next time that idiot contacts you, tell him that you're referring his comments to a lawyer for review and possible legal action.
