I mean if that's all you have to run on is "Don't vote for him, he used my gay daughter against me", you are pretty much on you dying breath.

I'm glad they repukes are tracking this shit all around the livingroom, the only one it really bothers is their base.

3. The fundies will all be mad at Cheney for not 'converting' his daughter
away from a "life of sin".

4. Exactly. If "conversion" is so damn easy as they claim, how come
it hasn't been done in a famous fundie family?? A famous fundie family that the unwashed masses of fundies voted for in 2000? Doesn't the cognitive dissonance produced by this fact make their heads want to explode? If I were the Republicans, I'd be VEEERRRRY careful about how much I talked about this. With fundies, if you keep it in the closet or up in the attic, they'll overlook it. But you can't rub their noses in it TOO much.

Having said that, I personally don't think the Cheneys are fundies, really -- I think they are a pack of rich and greedy vicious political opportunists, just like the Bushes. But their voters think they are people of God.

6. Late last night
there were news clips on the local news talking about how Kerry kicked Bush's butt in the 3rd debate. It talked about the issues, showing where Kerry stands and how he will make things better. They showed numerous clips of Kerry battering Bush during the debate. Then, the follow up was the Cheney's playing the martyrs and it seriously looked sad that out of three debates the best thing they have to say about Kerry is that he talked about their gay daughter. THAT's their reasoning as to why we should vote for Bush? That is so sad. (for them)

Desperation, With all of the topics important to the people of this country ,to dwell on one sound bite ,that has nothing to do with most of our lives ,is as I stated , a bout of severe desperation !!!!

9. Once again the Repubs didn't deny Kerry's statement ...
... that Mary Cheney would have felt that homosexuality felt natural to her(She could have come out and denied it, if she felt otherwise).

Note that she is the Chairman of Cheney's re-election campaign and he used her sexuality at a political event when it was to his advantage. She's fair game.
