Give me an F***ing Break Rumsfeld
"QUESTION: Secretary Rumsfeld, when did you know that the reports about uranium coming out of Africa were bogus? RUMSFELD: Oh, within recent days, since the information started becoming available. QUESTION: So, in other words you didn't, right after the speech, you didn't know that? Or even before the speech, you had no knowledge of that? RUMSFELD: I've just answered the question." (Congressional Hearing, 7/9/03)

What the F!?!? I, and probably just about everybody here knew the African Uranium reports were forgeries BEFORE the war started. We certainly have known longer than in "recent days." Are we to believe that DUers are more informed than the Secretary of Defense?

There are only two choices here, either:

1) You are a LYING FUCK WITH TOTAL CONTEMPT FOR THE AMERICAN PEOPLE, CONGRESS AND THE TRUTH and should therefore resign.

or

2) You are a totaly INCOMPETENT FUCK and therefore should resign.

This has me so pissed off. The arrogance is almost as sickening as the lies. I'm preparing a letter to my local paper, but need some sourcing help.

Can fellow DUers point me to documentation of the Niger Forgeries at their earliest appearance?

2. Rummy was not very "helpful" at that hearing
He also said he didn't know if the U.S. had formally asked NATO for military assistance, which Sen. Levin understandably found hard to believe.

3. Would you trust this man
With the life of your sons and daughters. He, by his own admission, doesn't know what is going on in the world. So his solution is to use our soldiers to bomb what we have no clear information about. Man it blows my mind they have had their way for this long!

5. sorry
you will never get a fucking break from rumsfeld because his foreign policy is akin to hitler's. He's a fucking facist who will think nothing of lying and spending countless lives to achieve his goals. Though it may sound like it, this is not an anarcho-communistic rant, simply the thoughts of an enraged liberal.

6. I just did a quick search -

I've got some errands to run, so don't have much time...

Here's an article in USA Today - 3/14/03.

"Senator Requests FBI Probe of Forged Iraq Documents"

http://www.usatoday.com/news/world/iraq/2003-03-14-iraq-forged-docs_x.htm

Funny thing about this: Both Powell and an unnamed govt official are quoted in the article responding to inquiries about the FORGED documents.

"Secretary of State Colin Powell has denied the U.S. government had any hand in creating the false documents."

Lesseee.....Powell knew. A Govt. official knew. And Rummy didn't know anything about this???

Bwahahahahahahahahaaaaaa!!!!! :silly:

edit: I'd go with both 1 & 2 above.

sorry - hit edit button twice.
