Is it illegal to remove election signs from my street?
This Repuke jerk named Chao and 3 others have the whole place plastered with his signs for city council.

I am having an open house this weekend and want to put up "Open House" signs but all the corner spots are gone and no one will see our sign!

2. Is it on someone else's property?
Then I would think that, yeah, it is not legal. If it's posted out on a lampost or something then who knows.

4. Make a huge sign ... huger than huge ... block his signs ...
or be civil and ask him if you could put your sign up for some hours and you would put them back after your even is over ...

or the lefty in me would just forget to put the signs back up and plaster liberal candidates back in place instead lol .

9. In most states, it's actually
illegal for them to be in the public right of way. If that's the case in your state, then you would of course have an obligation as a law abiding citizen to take them down so that their campaign isn't breaking the law. ;-)

11. That is the case in my town
The guy at the building and zoning department told me if I saw any signs in the right-of-way I could take them down myself. Does your town have their city codes posted online so you can check?
