Did I just hear it right about the Powerball Winner on MSNBC?
Her husband is a contractor in Iraq (no jobs around where they live) and she won powerball and told her honey to pack his bags and come on home!

Everyone who has felt it necessary to make ends meet by working over there should be able to win a big jackpot and come home.

Yeah, KBR means something other than potassium bromide

(which is actually KBr, but prounced the same.) They've been around quite a while, shoveling money to politicians of both parties. Before he became JFK's VP in 1960, LBJ was known as "the senator from Brown and Root."

17. I spoke to an undecided policeman while out canvassing.
He had a buddy who was in his fifties who went to Iraq as a security contractor. Amazing that we can have these sort of "off the books" soldiers out there.

The guy I spoke with said that security was his main issue. He said he was probably going to vote for Claire McCaskill (MO Dem for governor). I think a strong performance by Kerry tonight would add this guy to the Kerry column.
