2. Bush's lie

Senator Durbin said George Tenet has issued a statement
denying Rice's allegation he allowed the lie to go into the
SOTU speech.  On CNN right now, David Gergen is saying the
Niger lie was rejected by the National Security Agency, who
then said to base the lie on British intelligence.  I'm sick
of hearing, "But Bush clearly did not know it was a
lie."  Wolf has just asked why Rice et al are just now
coming out with an explanation of the lie.  So Gergen's making
the British the scapegoat and Rice is making Tenet.  Don't we
need an immediate investigation of witnesses under oath to get
at the truth?
