I've decided about the "Clark supporters"
Long before Tinoire posted the blog snippet, I
believed strongly you were all an organized
infiltration of DU. But now, I'm convinced.

So I'm going to put every damned one of you on
ignore.

And I'd encourage all the progressives here to do
exactly the same thing. There's no point arguing
with any of you or even listening to you; it simply
distracts us from what must be done to defeat the
Reich. It simply separates progressive from progressive.

And we don't need to help you do that.

Bye!

Atlant

2. I'm confused
are you saying anyone who supports the idea of Clark running (I do) is an infiltrator? I've been here since practically the beginning. And I'm a progressive.

15. I don't think he is implying that
There is a specific group that is mainly inflammatory and relatively new (BTW I DON'T PICK ON NEWBIES)
Tinoire caught them red handed doing the deed...disrupting debate with memes.

Her only mistake was to publicly point it out. It's much more fun to fuck with people who don't know they are caught.

Clarke supporters are entitled to their opinion and their candidate but when they organize off this board in order to DISRUPT this board..that many people NOT CLARKE NOT DEAN are paying for, then I have a problem with it.

I won't take Atlant's tack and ignore them...some supporters are people like yourself whose posts I have grown to trust and respect (and Pepperbelly)

Just my take on this....organising off DU to disrupt DU is bullshit.

They ought to get their nuts and ovaries squeezed in a vice for that.

19. I did not interrupt that the poster ment all Clark supporters.
The ones who start flamming from the get go or interupt a friendly candidate discussion thread in effort to deflate the momentum. Some reply posters are predictable, thus why suffer from their rage.

10. Go ahead and ignore me
they say ignorance is bliss. Have a good time. I would like to see Clark get in and actually win the nomination but if he doesn't it means the better candidate won so that's who I'll work for even if I have to work along side the likes of you. Getting rid of *is my first priority, then it's time to get to work.

5. Are you crazy?
Or paranoid? Respectfully, I've been a DU member for quite a while, posting only when I think I have something worthwhile to say, instead of posting every thought that comes into my mind.

So here's my worthwhile thought: I support Clark. I am a progressive but I am not a leftwing nut. I want to defeat Bush. I am convinced that Clark is the Dems' best hope to do that. I have no idea whom you support. But I will not ride the Dean bandwagon or the Moseley Braun bandwagon or the Kucinich bandwagon to political oblivion. I am so tired of the left attaching themselves to leftwing nut candidates who have not a whit's chance of winning.

I apologize for the harshness of my tone, but I am so tired of all the far left wing ranting about Clark. It could be just as easily said that the left wing nuts have infiltrated DU to help put someone on the ballot who is assured of being trounced by Bush. But I won't say that. That would be too paranoid.

I haven't seen a Clark position yet that would not be acceptable to most progressives. Perhaps the conversation should begin with the question: What do you hate so much about Clark? Other than he is a military man. And what, for reason's sake, is wrong with a soldier who is a progressive?

18. you wrote: "I am a progressive but I am not a left-wing nut."
and you wrote: "I am so tired of the left attaching themselves to left-wing nut candidates who have not a whit's chance of winning."

and in the same post: "I am so tired of all the far left wing ranting..." Then: "It could be just as easily said that the left wing nuts have infiltrated DU."

You words do not sound at all progressive to me. I have heard all those memes on right-wing hate radio and corporate media.

6. Babies and bathwater
Look, the Clark carpet brigade is annoying, but lets not be too hasty.
Some day, Clark, a guy I like and respect, might actually announce.

OR he could stay quiet ,and kick back because CLARK IS RUNNING FOR VP

lol

7. Isn't this a little ridiculous?
I'm not for Clark but I've met some of his supporters and they seem pretty nice. I'd rather have Clark than Dean.

8. more hysteria ...
I have been here forever and you accuse me, as a Clark supporter, of being an infiltrator?

Is it only permissable in your view to support whatever candidate that you support?

:eyes:

What-the-fuck-ever.

16. I should probably include exceptions for YOU Pepperbelly
As I am not referring to YOU a person who I like and respect. You know who I'm referring to. I might enjoy tweaking them , but only because Dean supporters get their share of grief too.

Either way, to put them on ignore precludes the possibility that they might just accidentally say something brilliant.
Like their leader.

It could happen!

once again, no offense to you Pepperbelly.

12. I was thinking of the same thing just this afternoon.
Many of us are feeling the irritation. Their tone borders on abusive. I'm glad you initiated the proactive choice. I prefer to visit DU without being accosted.

I have tried to interupt their game but I got one of my post deleted. :nopity:

Well, I think you suggestion is the most realistic. :bounce:

I'm with you on this one. You are a ture leader!

Thanks

20. If and when Wesley Clark declares...
If and when Wesley Clark declares a party affiliation
AND his candidacy, I'll be happy to listen to
HIM.

But I firmly believe that the tag-team of "Clark
supporters" have a much different agenda, and
I choose not to be a willing victim of it.

17. And what do you call this?
Someone likes a candidate that you don't approve of and you shut them out, huh? Don't like hearing opinions you don't agree with, huh? That's really pitiful.

Its one thing to ignore someone but to tell everyone else to do the same thing just reeks. There's a lot I hear about candidates I don't like but I won't shut those people out for endorsing who they want to. And I definately wouldn't tell anyone else to do the same. Its absolutely childish.
