Killing Osama
would have as much impact on terrorism and the problems facing America as jailing Noriega did. Or Saddam, for that matter.

Which ally will become the next arch-villain? Putin? Chavez?

This is getting old.

1. Well, Osama actually is an arch-enemy, but now is mostly a symbol of
Bushite missed opportunities and misplaced goals.

5. Yes, but arrogant bullying kills any chance for real peace.
War is a failure of diplomacy.

I doubt this jihad will ever end until we make real efforts at peaceful solutions.

War is not the answer.

8. Please explain
What do you think OBL wants? And what percentage of that would you give him for peace?

And do you think he would take a percentage?

9. I think our warmongering is a racket
The military industrial complex that Eisenhower warned us about has spun out of control to the point of generating an explosion of extremists lining up to oppose us.

Our bluff was called by 911 and caught us short.

Now the fight is on. If we had spent equal dollars pursuing peace as we have bracing for war, we would not have fed the hate that has grown against us.

We hate anyone that wars illegitimately. It is hypocrical to expect otherwise.

I love my country, but I expect it to be a force for peace. Not an engine of war.

We invaded Iraq under bogus pretense, and have killed or maimed 10 times the number killed on 911. What has it served to do this to innocent people? And this is just the beginning.

This is an atrocity.

3. Perez Musharraf, or his successor.
Pakistan is a burgeoning nuclear power, and Democratic presidents tend to favor India in the regional conflict. Anti-American sentiments by the muslim population in Pakistan will have to be defused quickly by a Kerry administration.

4. But Gen. Musharraf is too likeable.
He speaks perfect English and could defuse people's fears about him.

7. He is better than most
but India/Pakistan is a genuine simmering catastrophy.

Nukes must be eliminated or we are all doomed.

Kerry knows that. Bush doesn't.
