This is significant. Take the case of Michael Benjamin, for instance. He built a strong grassroots base around the State. A network like this can be used to elect an independent voice in the Legislature.

The lefties are taking action, and Republicans need to learn this lesson as well. Howard Dean had significant grassroots support among Democrats, and after he YEARGH'd out of the primary he said that his network of people were going to go home and use that resource to get involved in politics at their local level.

If everyone got involved at the local political process, we'd be able to stack the Legislature and the Senate with "our guys", instead of worthless RINO's and Democrats.
