Lou Dobbs very critical of the joking around tone of Bush attack ads.
"For goodness sake over a thousand soldiers have died and they are making jokes?"
Good on you Lou.

2. Is Lou Dobbs one of the rare newspeople
who tells the truth?

Or is he like that split personality Chris Matthews?

I'm usually having dinner with my kids and don't watch Lou.

5. Lou Dobbs was an unapologetic conservative whose views have
shifted as a result of his investigation of outsourcing.

3. Well, yeah...what'd you expect FROM jokes? These people are not
leaders, they are MISleaders.
Has the public forgotten * searching his office for WMDs???
Real funny, fucknuts....really really humorous.
What a crass, tasteless, utterly insensitive little bastard * is.

Edited on Wed Sep-29-04 06:08 PM by dweller
or is that sarcasm....

edit: i can't conceive *moron ads being funny, unless they are just stupid and while most of the sheep wouldn't see the humor, most here would.

just curious as to what got Lou's dander up.

13. I couldn't believe it when I saw it...had Kerry windsurfing...
and switching direction, and "for it" and "against it"...all the time...windsurfing one direction and then the other...I've never seen anything like it...

14. thanks, i've heard about the ads
i guess they are 'funny' to the RW, since issues of importance to me aren't high up on their priorities list.

i'd like to think they'll be crying much harder come Nov4 than they were laughing while soldiers died, children starved, americans went bankrupt and the whole country (or at least a huge majority) moved against the *moron.

Lou rocks.

15. I believe Kerry was "tacking"....
Edited on Wed Sep-29-04 06:57 PM by coreystone
Enjoying his time off from a very rigorous schedule. I believe that Bush was "tacky"! Especially for one who can not even ride a bicycle!

Windsurfing is much less expensive than "three wheeling", "snow mobiling" or, many other leisure activities of my percieved demographic groups; which I believe that the adverizement was geared toward.

It implies, to me that the "free activities" of Kerry are somewhat elitist, and, consequently pairs a visual perspective with a typical Bush "lack of fact" spin job.

10. Good for Lou.
I hope he also notices that both bush and cheenee are making "orange" jokes about Kerry's skin color. Disgusting. They have no honor or decency. It's all a game to them and we are their playing pieces. :-(

12. Jokers make jokes about WMD at the
white house or wherever the hell bush made that tragic joke about wmd.

If Lou Dobbs..a republican can see this then who can't?

I know the answer to that..bush's cult following of the great brainwashed!

17. a conservative isnt the anti christ
its these neocon radicals.

as a conservative, of course Dobbs is critical of this president who is destroying the economy and outsourcing the middle class, I am glad as the last few weeks Dobbs has been (however hard he tries) pretty obviously disapointed with Bush.

there is a few, Tucker Carlson, is having a hard time dealing with Bush too, he must go home and cry like a baby after having to act like he wants this guy re-elected...

overall I think the RW media bias is slowly evaporating on the cable news...other than Faux.

maybe I am dreaming, but the press is actually seeming to be a little more centrist of the last few days or weeks.

19. Smarmy frat boys is all they are
I despise them.

They think it's a big funny to mock their opponent, because there is no substance behind anything they say.

Look at what a funny orange skinned liberal that guy is!

That is the depth of their wisdom.

20. Time to email Lou, and commend him on speaking out!
I looked and looked for a direct email for him, but came up with nothing.

Anyone find a direct email?

You can be sure he's getting tons of negative email from the RW who don't like being taken to task, so we need to counteract it.

25. Here's what I wrote:
Subject line: "Hardly A Laughing Matter" (his exact words)

Dear Mr. Dobbs.....

I was in tears when I heard your comments tonight. Indeed, there is almost a mocking tone towards the troops coming out of the White House.

I thank you for saying it as it is........ we, as a nation, are becoming so used to verbal insults that it almost becomes acceptable. I commend you for caring deeply enough about this country that you are willing to call it for what it is.

Thank You.

Very sincerely,

"Kanary"

Thank you for posting his addy.... I assumed that might be it, but wanted confirmation.

Thanks!

I hope to hear that others are emailing Dobbs.

21. Lou Dobbs would have been a good person to moderate debates
we know he is not pro Kerry for sure. he has seemed biased to us many times. but it's not consistently critical of just Kerry. he kind of gives it to both sides.

another thing is he would have been challenging in this questions in a way where it's about the important issue at hand rather than just word games like tim russert tends to do.

24. That's what's so powerful about him...... he's R ( or at least *was*)
but he has enough integrity to criticise his party. That has effect on the Republican party faithful.

Especially those harboring their own doubts.

If the rest of the RW media had the integrity of Dobbs, we'd be doing much better as a nation!
