Rumsfeld and the Hawks Must Be Pissed (Hah!)
Edited on Thu Aug-28-03 12:27 PM by Stevendsmith
Can you imagine? It's looking very much like the failed neocon wet dream in Iraq may have to be--gulp--internationalized. When asked about the possibility of a U.N.-led occupation and reconstruction of Iraq, Rumsfeld's response was

"I think that will not happen."

In a clear acknowledgement of its failed Iraq policy, this administration will now have to grovel to the international body that it so brazenly alienated in the months leading up to the invasion.

This is a major victory against the unilateralist nutjobs that currently occupy the White House.

2. A shallow victory.................
with so many lives lost and so many crippled and maimed. I don't think too many countries are going to be knocking down the door to help BushCo. If I were them, I'd let him swing in thew freakin' wind. However, with our forces in peril, we should take all the help we can get at any cost. If the NutJob in Chief had listened to world opinion in the first place, we wouldn't be in this position.
