Look out on Nov. 3
I really believe that the US is in the sights for a new attack.

However, since we know Al-qaeda endorsed * in 2004 I really think they are waiting until after the election to strike.

If you believe they influenced the Spanish election they are doing what they can to not give Kerry the ammo to say that * is a failure in protecting the country. The are smart and want * to keep saying that he is protecting the country. If they attack before the election there is no telling how the public will react b/c they will only rally behind * so many times before dismissing him as the loser he is.

Sort of a "Fool me once............We can't get fooled again" kinda moment.

Just my thought of the day.

1. Another thought
I've heard a new talking point around lately. That what we are seeing fron bush is a great deal of restraint in Iraq leading up to the US elections. If elected, he will let go with massive bombings, possible "small" nuclear bombs and viscious assaults in portions of Iraq. This has to be out there. Repeat this to everyone.

2. I agree. Attack(s) more likely AFTER the election.
My question: If Kerry wins the election & an attack occurs before his inauguration, can Dimson do something to keep Kerry from taking office -- like martial law or whatever?

5. He could and he will.
If the US is attacked after a Kerry victory, he'll use ANYTHING possible to delay or prevent Kerry from taking office.

3. My 2 cents.
I think terrorist groups as a whole are indifferent to who gets elected here. I think they are a bit like guerrila groups, in that they want to stay in the limelight. as a sign that they are still creating fear. and inspiring their followers. As long as that's the case there's no need for them to attack.

Clearly the US is still under their sway. Homeland security raises the fear facter, er, threat level and we still freak out. I don't think there will be another major attack until we get complacent and stop reacting to increased threat levels.

7. I agree that the hate is not related to political parties
But * has been instrumental in their recruiting by basically kicking the bee's nest. Reuters reported a while back that al-qaeda endorsed bush. I think they want him to win so their recruiting will continue. But after the election all bets are off.

http://www.boingboing.net/2004/07/21/why_alqaeda_wants_pr.html

Reuters reported a letter from an al-Qaeda group that said “it supported U.S. President George W. Bush in his reelection campaign, and would prefer him to win in November rather than the Democratic candidate John Kerry, as it was not possible to find a leader ‘more foolish than you (Bush), who deals with matters by force rather than with wisdom.
