7. "w" says Jesus changed his heart
Karl Rove and Ralph Reed have people on the ground throughout the fundie movement. Bush told the Amish that God spoke through him.

4. Yes
They speak of this on http://www.commondreams.org/headlines01/1224-02.htm

This was the plan of the CC, they wanted to gain control of America from the pulpit. Ralph Reed predicted they would.

22. Alec Poitivint is now chair of GA GOP, Reed was a few years ago
Reed is on the stump for Bush trying to pull back in some of the disgruntled conservative Christians who have threatened to stay home on election day.

8. Who is the top christian leader? James Dobson?Jesse jackson?Billy Graham?
I'm confused. Who is going to come to our aid about banning bibles or are they going to sit idly by and let the Democratic party be slandered.

9. Dumb question
Do you mean the top leader who is Christian or the top leader of Christians?

I guess it doesn't really matter because the answer to both is "no".

14. Certainly not Bush...
and America doesn't really have any religious leaders one could consider preeminent. Since Catholicism is the largest Christian denomination in the US, and the Cardinal Archbishop of Baltimore is the premier Catholic prelate, I suppose you could make a case for him. Of course, the fundamentalist Protestants wouldn't agree...

15. Our Christian
president seem to be taking his orders from someone other than Christ,"Love thy neighbor as thyself","Thou shall not kill","Get knowledge, and with all their getting get understanding",It seems to me that shrub is not a Christian, but a follower of that evil spirit known as the devil.

17. NO to the * part of the question. Who is the top Christian leader
in the US? I'm a Christian and heck, the last time I looked in the Bible, it was um, yep, His name is still in there - KKKarl hasn't been able to change that yet - yes, the top Christian leader is Jesus. I was taught that it is Jesus we are supposed to learn from and follow.
Funny how MANY churches (and their so-called 'leaders') seem to forget that little point.

And no, I don't go to church anymore. Can't stand the thought of being around people who are giving actual Christians a bad name.
Of course 'they' would say that I'M not the 'actual Christian' since I believe in gay marriage, and although I'm pro-life, I could never tell a woman what to do with her own body. It's her choice. And I'm sure there are so many more things those Christians and I don't agree on, but those seem to be the two biggest issues. Oh, stem cell research. Go for it.

Yep, His name is Jesus. Good man. Chose to hang out with and support the poor and needy. How in the world * thinks he has ANYTHING in common with Jesus is beyond me.

18. He's not this Christian's leader.
I would have a hard time calling any of his actions "Christian". Warmongering and lying are definately looked down upon in the Christian faith.
