Last 2 beheading done because US has women in prisons. Do we?
I've never heard that there were women in the prisons in Iraq, but I never heard there weren't either. The most recent UA guys were captured and the demand was they would be beheaded if the women weren't released from the Iraq prisons. There was no response that I know of, and the men were beheaded.

Do we have Iraq women in the prisons?

3. Don't you remember that there were women in Abu Ghraib?
They have all been released, supposedly--immediately after the scandal broke

6. When all the Abu Ghraib stuff was going around, I remember them
talking about the women in prison and abusing their children to get them to cooperate. Doesn't anyone else remember???or am I dreaming...

9. Absolutely this was reported!
Sy Hersh talks about prisoners hearing women scream night after night while they were raped. Mothers were forced to watch their children being raped and abused. God knows how many women the U.S. has imprisoned in Iraq and other "undisclosed" locations around the world.

13. There were the buses filled with women leaving Abu Ghraib...
Edited on Tue Sep-21-04 08:02 PM by DrWeird
after the scandal broke. Where those buses went to, I don't know. But the media didn't cover it.

Kind of reminded me of the boxcar with the women and children in Schindler's List. Out of one concentration camp, into another.

7. A while back there were stories about women being held in the prisons.
At one time, fliers were being distributed in Baghdad alleging that women were being raped. Saying that there are women in prison is likely a propaganda tool to inflame anti-American sentiment. Can't imagine that there aren't women in prison. Why would it be different from here?

16. So many bad apples in the U.S.
According to the Women in Prison Project, at year-end 2002, an estimated 1,040,000 women were in criminal justice custody, either in prison or jail, or on parole or probation in the United States.

Looks like Iraq is a law abiding country.

Come on folks......Two women in jail ?!?!?......give me a break !

8. That's 2 that we admit to.
There are apparently close to 10,000 SECRET prisoners in various vacation spots like Guantanamo hidden around the planet.

so who can really say?

11. Well, depends on who did it. BushCo benefits the most from this
kind of behavior. Remeber the bloodless decapitation of a US prisoner being held by the US?

12. I swear I pay a lot of attention, but I missed all this.
I don't know who I detest more. The US for their abusive actions, or the captors for the beheadings.

I guess I should ahve know when the US didn't deny having any women in the prisons, they must still have some.

14. I read somewhere that women would commit cuicide after being released
because they knew it would be assumed they had been raped in prison.

I dunno, I didn't think secular Iraq had that kind of strong suicide-for-shame culture, but what do I know.
