Kitty Kelly in a response to one of Matts assertations that nothing in the book is positive about the bushes she mentioned that "you know bush senior Matt, you play golf with him" and Matt lamely replied "I've never played golf" and never again refuted it. Did he lie on public TV?

Kitty Kelley's statement that Lauer had "played golf" with 41 was in the context of her pointing out that Lauer had been around 41 in a relaxed sort of situation and would have been able to see how genial and charming he can be.

That's what she was saying. Lauer knew that's what she was getting at. Lauer lied when he said he hadn't - not because of a "technicality" but because he was denying the point of her statement, not merely the semantics.

NBC, like CNN and Fox is a state-run media organization, akin to what one would find in any other country run by a dictator.

Looks like someone finally figured out how to get the tabloids story on Matt Lauer into the "mainstream" press. Page Six is reporting on Lauer's ex-wife's reaction to a cover story in The National Enquirer that features a drug dealer's allegations that he supplied The Today Show host with cocaine.
