Is it legal for Limbaugh to be a B* advisor and be on Armed Forces Radio?
Edited on Mon Sep-13-04 08:30 PM by Jade Fox
Isn't that using tax (military) money for campaigning? Isn't that a conflict of
interest?

I thought he got kicked off AFR, but apparently not.

I wonder if big ole Rush thought about that before announcing he is and advisor
(unpaid) or not to Bush.

There has got to be something wrong with this.

1. I don't know,
but worth a kick.
It would make my day to skewer him with this.

2. he shouldn't be on AFRN at all
but since we live in a Banana Republic, it's doubtful anything will be done about it.

3. I can't fricken' believe this. This is the great nation?
Now we have drug abusing, thrice married, radio announcers as our advisors to the President. What the hell is wrong with these people? Whole Senate hearings to approve Supreme Court nominees, CIA Directors, you name it---but say that you're a born again and bingo! You're saved!

Miserable government. Of all the stupid, stupid, ideas of the past 4 years this has got to be the worst. I just can't fricken' believe it.

4. All true, but my point was...Its my understanding that...
it is strictly forbidden for active duty Military people to campaign for any
candidate. That is why the RNC hastily removed mention of active duty
military attending their convention from their website, AFTER it was noted
here on DU.

Having an advisor to a Presidential candidate using airtime paid for by
the Military to campaign seems quite similar.

I'm going to try and email the DNC and see what happens.

5. Who can we notify?
Who is accountable for his propaganda being force fed to our troops?

I'm sure his position as "advisor to the bush* campaign" is a self appointment.

6. I don't know--that's why I posted....
I just emailed the DNC to ask if they should not be demanding Limbaugh
be taken off AFR, but I have no idea what effect it will have.
