Look at The Terrorist Hideout The US Bombed in Fallujah Last Night....
Oops, more US Propaganda....

Iraqis gather near a destroyed Iraqi Red Crescent ambulance following a US air strike in the restive city of Fallujah. At least 15 people were killed as US jets spearheaded yet another assault on alleged Al-Qaeda fighters in Fallujah while Iraq (news - web sites)'s prime minister warned that key elections may be delayed in areas of unrest(AFP/Fares Dlimi)

US air attack on Falluja kills civilians

<snip>
Seven people, including the driver of an ambulance, were killed when US aircraft fired a missile at the vehicle while it was transporting casualties near the northern gate of the city, Aljazeera has learnt.

"Every time we send out an ambulance, it gets targeted," Dr Rafea al-Isawi, director of Falluja hospital, told Aljazeera.

"How are we going to transfer casualties? This is unreasonable. The US army has no ethics.

"Shame on our government that cannot protect the people," he added.

2. I know what the US Gov'ment will say
so we need the ICRC in there to investigate

I am not taking sides here, just that the ICRC needs to investigate whether that aubulance or any other ambulance has tranported combatants... if not the ICRC needs to make this a very public statement, if yes the ICRC needs to make a very public statement.

No ifs or buts about this, the ICRC must get involved and let the chips fall where they may...

4. The official policy is to target ambulances in Iraq because...
...there is the POSSIBILITY that they may be transporting terrorists.

Isn't that great? Doesn't that just warm your heart?

War crimes. Period.

5. It does something to my heart,

but "warm" is quite possibly as far from the situation as a verb could possibly get.

Of course we were quick to put Saddam on trial for war crimes. Why am I not as confident that Bush will have to answer for his own?

6. this is why the ICRC needs to get involved
As a former red cross worker trust me I know the geneva convention inside and out, but I also know that if an ambulance tranports a combatant, wether willingly or not, you loose your neutrality. trust me, I was shot at becuase of that... I ate my students for that one....

Hence why we need the ICRC to DOCUMENT what the hell is going on... and come down hard on whoever is breaking the laws of war.

8. Exactly!

How many 'insurgents' can you fit in an ambulance, anyway? Is it worth it? Oh hell, what am I asking? These are the same guys who authorized the sexual-sadistic use of torture, and they didn't draw the line with kids. Of course bombing ambulances is acceptable because America has been stripped of all her honor by the Bush goons. We've become barbarians.

7. This is disgusting.
They use guns, howitizers, grenade launchers and sometimes homemade bombs, we bomb the shit out of them from the air or launch missiles from the sea. That is fucking chickenshit cowardice. Of course we're going to win this war. I wonder how we'd do against China or Russia instead of some barely third-world country? I'm ashamed to be an American. I want no part in these atrocities.

Dominic Guzman (founder of the Dominicans) 1209, when asked how to distinguish heretics from true believers in the town of Beziers. At least fifteen thousand men, women, and children were slaughtered.

Amazing that we have not progressed since then.

11. Unfortunately...
The Islamic terrorists have been found guilty more than once of transporting terrorists and weapons inside Red Crescent ambulances - and the ICRC has done nothing - not even report the abuses in Afghanistan, Iraq and Gaza...

You wish this kind of thing will not be necessary, but when you fight an enemy that obeys NONE of the classic rules of engagement, you are often forced to apply alternate tactics, and sometimes it means "bending" the rules a bit...

I am more disgusted with the Islamists' use of human shields and ambulances to transport terrorism than I am with the American (perhaps) mistaken destruction of a Red Crescent ambulance...

13. sorry...
I am more disgusted with the terrorist actions of the US against the innocent civilians in Iraq. The US has done more damage to those people and their country than any "extremist" could dream of.

14. "the Islamic terrorists": could you be more specific
Which Islamic terrorists? In which places? I know Israel has accused Palestinian groups of using Red Crescent vehicles to transport militants in the occupited territories but this is a different country and a different enemy. We are not fighting "Islamic terrorists" in Fallujah.
