3. Zell Miller is a Democrat, and he knows God is not indifferent
to America. I like the stickers that say "God Bless Everybody", but I would like it if someone would make one that says
"God will bless whomever God wants to bless, thank you very much"

5. I'd like to see one that says ...
"'I speak for myself to those who listen, so please stop interrupting!' - God"

8. Where I live
(Orange County, CA) I see a lot of bumper stickers that say "America Bless God", rather than the regular old "God Bless America". They make me cringe. Apparently, now America is so great that we can bless God?

4. Nobody in America
has a monopoly on the flag. That's one of our better qualities as a nation.

6. I sure loved when Dean used to snatch up that flag with pride and vigor
and wave it around, all red-faced, saying "this flag doesn't belong to Rush Limbaugh..." Man, how true is that!?!

7. Someone forgot to tell the GOP.
I disagree: It's one of the more pathetic traits of this country that people wrap themselves in it and call themselves "patriot" -- and call anyone who says "symbol worship doesn't a patriot make" "TRAITOR"

9. Dean was right on
The flag is a proud symbol of our country, and we'd be fools to give up the power contained in the image. People want to feel good about their country, and for many folks, the flag is the best way they know how to express it. Not everyone is sophisticated politically, but most do know that they want to stand for America - and want America to stand for them.

We shouldn't let the Republicans get a monopoly on that powerful symbolism. It's our flag, too, damn it.
