Anybody watching NOW on PBS?
Bill Moyers is dissecting the 9/11 report, noting the * administration's screw-ups. Verrry interesting.

8. Sorry. I should have said Main stream as in ABC, CBS or NBC.
There's a difference in my mind between Prime time PBS and Prime Time that most of the viewers watch.

10. Bill Moyers.............

People think nobody watches Bill Moyers because he is on PBS, those people are wrong.

More people watch Bill Moyers than any cable news show on TV, and that includes the O'Reilly factor.

Bill Moyers gets slightly over 4 million viewers, O'Reilly has about 2.3 to 2.6 million. So more people see Moyers than you think.

5. Just saw it ...Powerful stuff
It aired on WPT (WI) at 8:30.

If you want a clear re-telling of the 9/11 report, this is a good place to start.

At the end of the show, viewers were encouraged to visit the website at (I believe) PBS.org.

7. It was not flattering to BushCo.
They included the film of Shrub sitting in the classroom in a state of advanced brain-stall. Moyers mentioned the 7 minutes. He also talked about how the FAA and the military were trying to figure ouot what to do all by themselves (for about an hour) because nobody at the top of the command structure (not only Shrub, but Cheney and Rumsfeld) were giving them any instructions. And there's a lot of stuff about Richard Clarke's testimony.

Bill Moyers rocks.

11. Best statement was by Bill Moyers at the very beginning of the program.
Did the system fail, or did the people who were sworn to make it work fail?

Wish I knew how to get the rest of America to think about that!

18. This is how people who make a living at getting power think
Or, did the people who worked to make it fail get sworn?

I think in back of every fascist's mind is an unspoken idea. They all share it. They all know they share it. So, they never need to speak of it. They needn't engage in any conspiracy to make it work. And here his how this idea formed when they were confronted with warnings of an impending Al Qaeda attack:

Let it happen, then we create an atmosphere of fear where we are the defenders of freedom and the Democrats are the same weenies they were back in the Cold War. We win election after election while we loot and piliage and the American people don't notice.

12. I put it on TiVo earlier
and have been watching it for about 5 minutes.

Bill Moyers is a true journalist. I remember when his brand of journalism was the norm. Today he is one of the few remaining members of an exceptionally small group of true journalists, who understand how important their work is to a healthy democracy.

How can the majority of "journalists" today even look at themselves in mirror? how do they sleep? They are selling out our country for celebrity and money.

Jesus, Condaleeza is telling lie after lie, faking indignation as committee members press her about the August 6, 2001 PDB. Acting is not her forte.

14. Looks like it's playing Sunday in Chicago.
I have DirecTV and get 3 different PBS channels. Here are the listings.

NOW With Bill Moyers
(Description: Analysis of the report by the 9/11 Commission)

WTTW - Sunday 9/12 - 12:00pm (channel 11)
PBSU - Sunday 9/12 - 8:00pm (channel 377 on DirecTV)
PBSU - Sunday 9/12 - 11:00pm (channel 377 on DirecTV)
WTTW - Monday 9/13 - 4:00am (channel 11)

I don't see it listed as being played on WYCC channel 20, a shame since that services Indiana too.

15. too bad only about .05% of the population watches the show
We need this stuff on mainstream channels, unfortunately.

To see a show like this is to realize just how GODAWFUL the "mainstream" media is.

17. Great Show tonight.
I am one of the 4million regulars. Moyers did a good job of compiling relevant facts and displaying them in a damning indictment of the bush* administration.

The conclusion:
1) The Clinton waged an aggressive war against terror and AlQaeda,
2) The bush* administration fumbled the ball.

BTW: A question raised on another thread:
As the limousines are pulling up to Booker Elementary, did Moyers say that Carl Rove delivered the news of the first aircraft strike on WTC????

Maybe I heard wrong.
