The media is acting like they have just announced to everyone that they are gay when everyone knew it in the first place.
If you look at the expressions on their faces and watch their attitudes toward the re-pugs you will notice that they seem like they are at home and that they are free now and they can say and do whatever they want.
I went to a friends coming out party one time and he was so happy and it's kind of like that with the media and the re-pug convention.
It's Tweety's coming out party and he looks like he is happy.
5. When my friend came out of the closet he was free
They are out of the closet at the convention in a way and they feel free. They say that they are not biased (in the closet pretending not to be biased) and thinking that they are hiding the truth from everyone when everyone knows damn well that they are republicans (kind of like everyone knew that my friend Kenny was gay before the party). He was free after he had the party and he felt like he was on cloud 9 when he came out.
Take that all into account and look at the way the winger media is acting at the convention. Smiles are plastered all over their faces and they look free. They are laughing and smiling like a heavy weight is off of their shoulders and they can now be their selfs.
Has had some good nights recently (the Maher show; pointing out, almost alone among players in the media, that Laura Bush looked and sounded like a moron in trashing stem cell reserach about a week or so ago and kicking Larry Thurlow and The Malkin's asses up between their shoulderblades.)
I hold out hope for him. I'm like Gramsci: a pessemist of the intellect but an optimist of the will...
14. Did You See Chris Matthews On 'REAL TIME w/Bill Maher'?
He made it pretty clear that he is at the vert least NOT a republican or pro-republican policies, and in fact, sounded pretty much like a democrat to those who watched.
