I see the main stream media, i.e., CNN and Fox have already taken the story away from there web pages

The other reason I do not think it is a diversion is because CBS has been quite reliable with stories like this

In my view one of the biggest failures of this administration was not to continue the negotiations started by Clinton between the Israellis and the Palestinians.

What is interesting is that the administration thought they could attract the Jewish vote, by encouraging the Likud party to take a very hard line. What has ironically happened is the majority of Jewish people and Muslims are for Kerry.
