4. The Name Protest Warriors Pisses Me Off

this whole rant doesn't make a lot of sense now that I remember who the Protest Warriors are; right wing yahoos who are jerkwads. Oh well.

Protesting is serious business. Our goal isn't to gratify our own egos and makes us feel good becuase we are tough. To many protestors show up at protests because they want to find themselves or because they just like acting out and this is an approved way of doing it. You can see after talking to them that their politics are mainly an excuse to put themselves at the center of some personal mythology.

I think the name "Protest Warriors" feeds right into this, the illusion that Protestors are somehow special heroic people. You don't protest to be heroic. You protest because we are living in insane times. These aren't nickle poker times we are living in, where you can afford to gratify your own eagos. These are $1,000,000 a hand times.

But to make my self clear, I don't think most protesters fit into this stereo type--the majority know the stakes and perform admirably and even heroically because they aren't focused on gratifying some sort of psychological need but on the real goal; making America a better stronger country to live in.

Yes it is good, and Julian Bond does a fine job narrating. Very devastating expose of the neocon agenda.

The Warriors are just typical lil' fearmongers. They would have made more sense in the 1980's when there was still a thing called the 'USSR'.

They probably don't even know that the neocon movement had its genesis with discontented Jewish liberals who considred themselves Trotskyists.

at being an indictment of the Bushies. F911 feels like conspiracy theory stuff. Luckily the Neocons were operating in plain sight, so you only need to connect the dots, not guess at their intentions.

If you have friends/relatives that will not go see F911 because Michael Moore is a 'propagandist', then this is a clear, rational alternative.

I loved F911 for different reasons.

I felt that HC is good follow-up to 'Uncovered', more detail, more damning. But I haven't seen the movie-theater version of Uncovered yet.

Im a contributing poster at PW and those guys are hard to reach...just as bad as FR.

It was kind of funny actually when I first signed up and I introduced myself. One of the first things they shove on you is the posting "commandments" which outline what is acceptable behavior in their sandbox. Of course, they were the first (and only ones) to break their own rules.

There was and is a staggering amount of disinformation going around over there. I spent my first couple of days just correcting the falsehoods.
