I only have a problem with those that lie and smear. When MoveOn says something untrue about George, I'll condemn it. Problem is, the facts about him are more than enough to sink him.

It's perfectly legal and does not endorse, nor disparage a particular candidate for office. It does take aim at a particular cause, in this case "irresponsible tax cuts" but that is an issue, not a candidate.

3. They aren't collaborating on a campaign covered by the FEC

As I understand the laws regarding 527's, the prohibition is on collaboration between the 527 and a campaign (since campaign funding is regulated).

There aren't such regulations regarding collaborating on general matters where the issue of FEC campaign funding does not come up.

Am I right?

Pales in comparison to outright libel against a man.

If MoveOne was saying that George Bush sucked dicks inside of coffins in the Skull & Bones, or that he snorted coke off a stripper's butt, it would be comparable.

MoveOn has only told the truth about POS Bush and his pathetic record of failure and murder.
