Dear CNN,
This is the second time that I have written about your online polls.

Who does these things: interns? I'd hate to think that you spend a lot of money creating these polls.

Today's poll is impossible: Do you know whether the new overtime rules will affect your paycheck?

What is that referring to? Whether people know (yes, I do know) or will it affect your paycheck (no, it won't)

How about having a team (more than one person) create these things..better yet, just do away with them.

By the way, I am still waiting for a response to my previous comments about your polls. Don't you people respond to anything?

2. Fuck CNN, start watching C-Span and MSNBC
Everyone is aware of what CNN is up to. Give it a bit more time and it will really start showing in their ratings. Not that their rating are good at all to begin with.

3. don't hold your breath
CNN polls aren't written to provide a rigorous proof of any social concept. They are purely marketing -- they are written to get visitors to the webpage to "participate". Sometimes, CNN even makes them controversial to get people to comment on them.

And of course, CNN is manipulative -- they actually quote their own polls, which is really masturbatory when you consider they ask questions like: Do you know what John Kerry stands for? *YES *NO

Here's one for CNN -- do you know what your grandmother stands for? Do you know what anyone "stands" for? Explain what you mean by "stands for". Does that mean capturing the totality of a complex political philosophy and person in a two word soundbite?

Of course, CNN then turned around later that day and said, "According to a CNN poll, most Americans don't know what Kerry stands for.", without any further elaboration. I wish you could blame it on interns, unfortunately, it's probably very senior people doing this kind of bullshit.

4. The worst are when they ask whether believe something that
is already proven true or false like:
"Do you belive the SBVB ads?"

It is as if they are trying to brainwash all of us and periodically ask:
"Have we brainwashed you enough or would you like some more?"
