But he's being approached to run as an independent for governor of New Jersey, by--get this--"some prominent business guys." Y'know, when a Frank Sinatra impersonator "from Joisey" says he's being approached by unnamed prominent "business guys" I automatically think pinstriped, double-breasted suits with carnations in the lapel and brass knucks in the pocket.

Am I wrong to think this way? Of course I am. But as long as yankees keep insulting my neck of the woods by saying Bush has a "Texas mentality" I reserve the right to engage in protective-reaction chauvanism.

Anyhoo, I'm glad to hear that Piscopo, a former Reagan supporter, is a Democrat after all. I hope he runs as one instead of running as a Jesse Ventura wannabe. Garden State Democrats seem to have their act a lot more together than California's Dems and late night comedians need something new to joke about in lieu of the Clinton bj jokes.
