This is so complicated. The organizer said, The school called and said they are going to be closed the week of Oct 4th. Duh I knew that. The organizer from C-Span clearly stated Oct 11th. yesterday ..twice. School is out the week of Oct. 4th for the bus and as we talked, C-Span mentioned City hall or VFW. I said No to VFW. Reason..We are United Veterans I don't need the stress of a rural veteran battling ground here in rural Ga. Then he mentioned Mike of the 8th congressional office to send a Press alert to. He said and I quote, "Unless you are a democrat and would have a problem with a republican congressman from your district" I said, "Yeah I am a democrat and I do have a problem with it. If its about vets then we get Congressman Lewis a Dem and our rep who is a republican but we are supposed to be non partisan as you are as well. He agreed. I would not be pressured on the place of meeting of the bus. I said. I will get back with you Monday after I talk to the Mayor and the City or the Library. It is my win and it will be on my terms. Even if its at my house...But it will be for the good of the community. I have a reputation and I also have an obligation to my principles. I was bummed that they screwed the school idea up for me. My last words. It will be my way or no way. He agreed..waiting till further contact from me but terrified that I am gonna stack the platform with all dems, which I would do and those folks at C-Span know this but only if it had nothing to do with veterans. I am a political activist, I would love to know why I can't have it at a Dem headquarters?
