what if al gore.....
had used the supreme court to interrupt a recount which would have cost him the election?

had slept through the first nine months of his presidency while a terrorist plot was hatched that resulted in the worst attack on u s soil since the founding of the republic?

had pushed tax policies that resulted in the explosion of the national debt?

had a vice president who was still pulling checks from his recent employer?

had invaded a country so he could have a war to use as a prop for political purposes?

twiddled his thumbs while thousands of good paying jobs evaporated?

had a chief of staff who continually sought ways to exploit wedge issues to divide us from our neighbors?

had scoffed at allies for not kowtowing to his foreign policy whims?

had outed a cia operative as revenge for her husband's audacity of not towing the party line?

constantly made verbal gaffes which made him look like a complete idiot?

held closed campaign events in which attendees were required to sign poorly worded grammatically incoherent 'loyalty oaths'?

stood by while fanatical groups funded by his friends used a loophole in campaign law to smear his republican opponent for his service in vietnam?

held american citizens in jail indefinitely without any due process because he declared them 'enemy combatants'?

refused to hold press conferences because he couldn't handle impromptu question and answer sessions without regressing into inane babbling?

refused to testify at a congressional investigation without his vice president?

saw to it that his vice president's former employer was given a no holds barred contract to service a meaningless war on a third world country?

huh? what if?

1. He'd be impeached.
...Many times over. The Republicans would allow no less.

3. His approval rating would be about 28%
But if you're pandering to the mouth-breathers and rapturists, you're golden.

This is a sick country. Always has been.

6. Inexcusable.
Besides, he's a stiff and wears earth-tones and exaggerates.

9. worst attack on u s soil since the founding of the republic ???
Methinks you overlook the indian massacres of past times, pearl harbour, and many events of the civil war.

I agree with your overall premise, just glib words get us in to the
less respectable zone.

Our culture has persecuted mass murders on american soil before and
the latest is nothing new.
