Bush already using Charley as excuse for BAD EMPLOYMENT #'s
These blithering fucks are shameless. Just reported on CNN...The labor department was about to release new employment figures (so okay, go ahead!) but now all the migrant workers displaced by Charley might skew the numbers and make them look worse than they really are just two months before the election.

Okay...so how does this all fit in to the 400-dead story? Remember there are TWO Bushes involved, which makes it twice as likey that something shady is going on!

2. How does this affect the rest of the country?
Migrant workers are just going to go elsewhere(like here) so it shouldn't affect the national numbers all that much. In fact, Tyson Foods had an ad in the paper this morning announcing that they are hiring. They get predominately Mexican migrants in that place, as it is a tough place to work.

5. KInda funny, huh?
And if the labor department were just about to release the report anyway, wtf difference would Charley make? It makes no sense. Bottom line appears to be CNN once again being used as a mouthpiece to soften up Amurka prior to release of more bad news. Thinking people will question it. But the Wal Mart Nation will go for it like a price rollback on Twinkies!

4. Most effects of Charley wouldn't be felt until the September employment
report.

Each report includes the second half of the previous month, and the month they are reporting on.

7. Okay, so pro-rate the figures by one day
That is how Bush will explain away the bad news? Come on...they're grasping again.

10. Hate to mention this to the fading BoyKing, but
Traditionally, after a bad hurricane with a lot of property damage, employment goes UP, because of roofers, builders, etc busy as hell for six months putting everything back together again.

Poor smirky.

11. But Bush folks say 20,000 drop - and the est. may be low, so Aug
numbers to be released in Sept - but being gathered now - will be "wrong"

This guy lives on excuses.

There was a time when their was reward for performance.

Now it is "design" - what warm emotional feeling do you have looking at so and so

and excuses - kill the staff. the weather, Clinton, or whatever else caused this bad to happen because it is not my fault

:-)

12. Jacobin---that's exactly
..what my husband was saying to me when I expressed confusion over why the stockmarket went flying high on Monday. Indeed, all these things lost need to be replaced.

14. Migrant workers??
I didn't think that migrant workers factored into the labor statistics. And wouldn't there be an increased demand for workers in the massive rebuilding from all of the damage?
