It looks like they are burying the story.

3. Im sure they are burying it.
They are pretending it is just another piece of international news and that the US government wasnt a player in what happened.

7. You know, a whole lot of U.S. taxpayers' hard-earnded dollars were sent
to Venezuela to be used AGAINST Chavez. You'd think we'd be informed a little more, considering we're INVESTORS in the opposition now.

This doesn't seem fair, now, does it?

9. according to local news in The Netherlands..
the US "does not accept" the result of the referendum.

reminds me of elections in Indonesia, where the US was the only nation to accept the results in spite of international election monitors claims of election fraude. but hey, it resulted in a pro-corporate-globalization government, so what would anyone expect?

We haven't been nearly as well as we hope for quite a while now. It's a real tragedy, too.

A whole country kept in the dark, while the right-wing looney toons conduct their business in secret, using our demanded taxes to finance themselves.

11. Castro dolls
I am reminded of the cuban revolution when U.S. entrepreneurs were quick to capitalize on Castro's victory. Immediately following the successful revolt, Castro dolls appeared in the local Woolworth 5 & 10. Then, our government and the press found out that the bearded revolutionary was <gasp> a communist. The Castro dolls vanished more quickly than they had appeared.

12. Maybe they can bury the story when they lose in Venezuela...

...but they're going to have a much harder time trying to bury the story when they lose here in November....

It was inspirational to see pictures of those long lines of people waiting patiently to vote. I have a hunch the lines at our polls will mirror the lines waiting to get in to see F9/11. Record-setting crowds, with everyone friendly and chatting and happy to see so many people just like themselves. I'm really looking forward to it.
