7. In his youth he belonged to the KKK (for a short time, I think). He has
apologized about it and with his deeds he has redeemed himself, in my eyes.
If the Fundies can forgive Bush for being a coke inhaler and and drunk wife beater (doing nothing more productive than killing frogs) for 40 years, I am willing to forgive Byrd for that awful choice he made 2 lifetimes ago.
