I remember seeing something about her -- it was either an A&E biography or E! True Hollywood Story -- anyways, she was apparently a feminist in her earlier years and even though she comes from a redneck background never seemed overly political.

Her opposition towards Bush stems in part from her Kabballah; apparently that religion frowns on war mongers.
