Why should ex-felons be permanently barred from voting? They have paid their debt. It is un-American to deny them their right to vote.

I checked the ACLU website and there are only 7 states that do this, and Florida is one of them. I knew it was something like 7 or 8 but didn't know for sure. Most of the others are in the deep south too. It's the last vestige of Jim Crow, pure and simple.
