For the first time I just watched that Fox Hannity..or whatever

Is this really supposed to be serious television news? It looks like an episode of Springer. Hannity just screams over anyone. Do people really watch this and get their "news" from it?

You've heard Hannity on the radio too, haven't you??? I had to stop watching and listening because he would say the same lies over and over and over and over and over and over, ad nauseum.

I try to listen to the neocons to see what they are up to so occasionally I'll record Limbaugh, Hannity, or O'Reilly. It's like listening to the same show with the same issues on the same day. What is really scary is when one or the other has ANN COULTER on their show. OMG, that is one woman I would love to meet and tell her what I really think of her and her comments.

We are so lucky to have Randi Rhodes now. I'd love to see those verbal bullies debate her. They won't because they are afraid (as O'Reilly says about so many of the people he wants on his little show. They are always so afraid. BS).

Sean Hannity has a son and a daughter. I emailed him several times before the Iraq war. Never got a response except an autoresponder thingy. I pointed out to him that in 15 years, his son would be old enough for military service. Also, probably the draft would be reinstated by then. I told him to keep promoting this war. Keep pushing and backing everything Bush says. Keep telling lies about the Dems. I told him I hope when the day comes that his son has to go, I hope I am still alive to see it, because this war is never ending.

When Michael Moore was on O'Reilly, O'Reilly would not commit to send his son when he was 18 (who is still very young), but continued to say, "I'd go!" Moore kept saying, "We're too old Bill." O'Reilly never would say, "Yes, I will sacrifice MY SON for this Country and this war.

3. Actually you put it very well. We have undergone the "Springerization"

of political commentary. Loudmouthed political pundit theater started with McLaughlin Group, but he actually made an effort to balance his panel and McLaughlin doesn't always come out predictably on the Repub side of anything, actually has his own mind.

Then through the era of Rush Limbaugh we have arrived at O'Reilly, Hannity, Savage, and their clones, who include shouting down their guest as a key tactic, cutting off their microphone etc.

I am 40 years old, and am very "up" on the news and politics, I just never watched this shit before. I was flipping and saw it and remembered the names mentioned on DU so I watched. It is worse than what I have read on here. I guess I am out of the loop.
