The terrorists hate the idea of freedom
It has been a murky day for me, the day care next to my office was hellish, my mom went to Belize as an aid worker and it sounds like she is coming down with something, maybe serious, then at lunch Faux news was on, people were enthralled. Then I turned on the Radio and heard Bush claim the "terrorists" flooding into Iraq "hate the idea of freedom, Hate the idea of a democracy in the middle east." I all of a sudden realized people REALLY BELIEVE THAT. They don't see it is rhetoric, but as actual truth. We-->good, them-->bad! I don't know, it just really hit me, this simple view of the world is real! Arg...
Enough of that.

3. Woops, your right
Down with big brother, down with big brother, to the future or to the past, to a time when thought was free, when men were different from one another, and did not live alone... I love big brother.

5. I'm confused.
Do you think that the terrorists flooding into Iraq would actually prefer a free, stable democracy there?

7. there are 'terrorists flooding into Iraq'?
Edited on Fri Aug-22-03 07:17 PM by KG
got any evidence to back that up? i mean other than the chimps moronic utterings?

and if you think the RWers in the WH really want to see 'free, stable democracy' where there is a natural resources to be exploited, you're more than confused.

the US has been in the business of overthrowing democratically elected leaders world-wide for 50 years, starting with Iran 1953.

do some research. find out why things are the way they are today in the ME- it didn't start in 1990.

9. They don't think Bush--> creates freedom
Well, I don't think they saying, "Ha ha, let's take away freedom today," I think they saying, "Let's free the Iraqi's from the Crusaders." I'm not saying they are right, I'm saying Bush is making them out to be Straw men, or paper tigers or something like that, anyway he is making claims about their intent that are not true.
Just got to me. It's like when someone says, "Those Liberals think X" when they actually think YZ and C, which the other side spins to mean X.
I guess I just wish Bush could think in more than sound bites.

10. Assuming terrorists are flooding into Iraq, why don't we make them stop?
I mean, we just invaded the whole doggone place, right? We're the sole lord and master of the realm, right? So how come terrorists are flooding into Iraq now, on our watch, and they weren't when the evil Saddam was in charge? Huh?

</sarcasm>

8. Turn the analogy around to those who buy this
(okay in advance - its faulty logic - but they are using faulty logic).

So, then are people who hate freedom prone to become terrorists?

Then are people like John Ashcroft who hate freedom and are working to hinder freedom prone to become terrorists?
