Bush on tribal sovereignty...

American Indian journalist just asked Bush what he foresees in American Indian sovereignty issues in the twenty-first century.

Bush: "You've been given sovereignty so you're sovereign. (Pregnant pause) The relationship between the U.S. government and tribal government is sovereign government and sovereign government."

(This is paraphrased, but very close to what he said.)
