Is Duf Sundheim right? Sixty Percent of Californians want Gray recalled?

The Dufmeister says:

http://discuss.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/zforum/03/sp_politics_sundheim082203.htm

As I mentioned in an earlier answer, 35% of the people who signed the petitions were Democrats, 40% of Democrats support the recall. This governor is the most unpopular governor in recorded history, lower than Nixon in '74. The DEMOCRATIC leader of our state senate has said, if the issue is the record of Gray Davis, he will be recalled. DEMOCRATIC San Francisco mayor Willie Brown has said Davis has a better chance of winning the lottery than beating the recall.

A recall is a very serious action that should never be taken lightly, but I agree with the 60% of my fellow Californians that think it is time for him to go.

1. Since Duf is chairman of the California Repuke party...

I think he may be biased.

OTOH, many people I speak to in SoCal seem to blame Davis for our current budget woes. Somehow, the fact that Enron caused these problems is completely overlooked.

I will vote no on recall and yes on Bustemante. If Auuunold is elected, we are in big trouble.

2. What part of that 60% will vote ?
Are they more likely to vote than the smaller percentage that disagrees with the recall process?

4. I had heard we expect
a very large turnout for this one, about 90% of the eligible voters....I am skeptical if it will be that high.

The other major draw is the so called "racial privacy" initiative, which will ban collection of ethnicity info in certain state functions. It sounds good at first....but there will be a major impact on census and minority program spending info. It is unknown who is backing this one, but it is not what it appears to be. :tinfoilhat:
