The US military body count: An idea
I am very suspicious of the numbers of US casualties being reported by the US media. Is it possible to start a thread that invites the families of dead or missing US soldiers to post that they have a dead or missing soldier? One post per family giving name and US military ID? It is very easy to just take the media count as is because the families of US casualties are spread all over the country. They know for sure only that their familiy member is dead or missing but they don't know for sure about others. There must be some way bring these numbers to a central database...outside of the Pentagon.

1. I am not suspicious of the media but....
I am of this so called government we have in place in this county. You cannot believe anything they report to the media. The media just goes along with what they tell them like everything, including the reasons for war before the invasion. So don't blame the media. Can't expect much from them. BLAME OUR WHITE HOUSE!

2. What the F***????? Dont blame the Media?????????
The media's job is to dig past what they are told, to question authority, to act in the public interest, to defend our system from corruption by exposing every attempt, to force our leaders to answer the tough questions. HAD THE MEDIA DONE THEIR FUCKING JOB, WE WOULD NOT BE IN IRAQ TODAY, BECAUSE THE LIGHT OF TRUTH WOULD HAVE EXPOSED THE BUSHIT!

DON'T BLAME THE MEDIA, HUH? JUST BECAUSE THE MEDIA DID NOT SIGN THE DEPLOYMENT ORDERS DOES NOT MAKE THEM WITHOUT BLAME.

WAKE UP!!!!!!

A free and open press is the only thing that has kept us from the doom that all other countries go through, that of the corrupting and pervasive influence of power.

Fox should be shut down, General Electric(a defense contractor) should be forced to sell NBC. All defense contractors and other federal contractors should be banned from owning media. Media ownership rules should be immediately reinstated, media empires should have trust busting laws thrown at them, and the Fairness Doctrine abandoned by Reagan (fucking pig!) should be put back. Otherwise, kiss your sweet ass good bye, for America is taking its last breaths as an envied leader of the free world.
