Is the latest false alarm in NYC and Washington equivalent to Bush, Sr's fabled remarks, "Read my lips - no new taxes"? Many people now believe those remarks, which turned out to not be true, were the final nails in the coffin for the first Bush Administration. Although the consequences are much different and more serious this time with Bush, Jr, the people's reactions could turn out to be very similar. If it becomes part of the political dialogue, Mr Bush Jr could be in the same dire straits as his Poppy.

There has been a mix of confusion and anger from the people I have talked to. These people are not political junkies like us. One woman said she thinks it's "partly politiclally motivated" and that it would be a "crime" if he won.

I heard another woman saying "why would they do that." I have been spreading the word every chance that I have had. So should you. Write a letter to the editor about it.

9. It's not the information per se

that is the problem. It is the misleading way in which it was released. If they had publicly released information that said that they learned that three - four years ago, Al Quaeda was casing theses places, and that they don't know whether they are still doing so and that people in and around these places ought to keep their eyes open that is one thing. But to put it out with an increase in threat level that causes everyone to act like an attack will happen this week is misleading, and intentionally so.

10. It's not that they released it, it's how they released it

Made it seem like "Monday" was the targeted day, when in reality all they knew was that at some point these buildings had been cased. They could have put all the security measures in place regarding the buildings (and in truth most of them were in place) and then told the public. Instead the chose to make a "show" of the information, stooping low enough to parade Laura and the twins into one of the targeted buildings.
Call on the workers to show great courage and go to work. And then sending your wife and daughter to a building you know was just as safe as it was the week before. It's truly one of the most shameless acts of political theater I have ever witnessed. Wag the Bitches

According to Mr Flynt, this happened in 1971, before the chimp was married. After Mr Flynt interviewed the woman in question, this woman, who earned 13K a year, disappeared, only to reappear in Corpus Christi, Texas as the owner of a new 500K home.
