Anyway, Luntz seems a bit tipsy, but there he is, a few feet away. I cannot resist.

"What do you think?" I ask him, in a tone that indicates that I'm not talking about last night's Sox-Yankees brawl.

"Kerry will win," he says. I feel myself jump back slightly.

"Wow," I say. "How can you be so sure?"

"Bush's numbers on the war are bad, and it's spreading."

I follow-up: "So, it's that simple -- 'It's the war, stupid'?"

"Well, not that simple...but basically, yes."

1. The fight is on. Don't believe ANYTHING repug shrills say. They

try to lull dems into a sense of "confidence" because we know the truth. All the while they are issuing "terra" alerts and disinformation on Kerry/Edwards. We just keep on fighting with whatever tools we have left (when the media has gone to the dark side).

4. Yeah. I've been taken aback by how aggressive surrogates are

already. They're absolutely merciless. They're also speaking with a sense of desperation, but that's not so apparent to the average viewer, I think.

2. Kerry needs to address that war with more than sabre rattling

I just saw a Badnarik ad here this morning that promises prompt and complete withdrawal from Iraq. Some people who don't know the Libertarians are nuts may fall for it, and I think that will hurt Kerry here.

If Kerry doesn't get more concrete about plans to end that war, he's going to be hurt by the "no difference between the two parties" one issue folks and hard core peace people.

Shoot, I almost felt like voting for Badnarik myself, and I know how crazy those people are.

3. Trust and Verify. PLUS work for our K/E ticket like our lives depend on it

... because our lives DO depend on it. I'm not letting up for one even tiniest millisecond. We all know the extremes to which the R's want to retain power, and no talking head, pundit or other shill will deter the work I am doing for K/E.
