New Yorkers will be REAL welcoming after being scared to death again
* throws the city into Code Orange panic, clogs tunnels and overtaxes the police department based on three-year-old "intel". Yeah, that city will open its arms to the RNC alright.

1. NYC never received money Bush promised after9/11. Is the city
footing the bill for this false alarm as well?

3. evidently, a large portion of it
I heard Schumer was steaming about it.

Jesus Christ, if you're gonna piss off any city, it shouldn't be NY.

12. They don't care if we go under
They know NY is going for Kerry, so why not bankrupt us with fake terra alerts?

I wish I knew what the outcome of massive demo's will be during the RNC, right now (esp. if things get out of hand). Will it work for them or against them? Because I've been looking foward to "welcoming" the rethugs to NYC for a while now... ;)

4. And to think , Rove once believed Bush would carry NY
Of course, all this could be an excuse to lockdown the whole city during the RNC (i.e. no protests).

5. WAIT! Maybe that was the whole idea! Rove wants NYC protests to
go badly, to be a "freak show", to get violent. Is this part of the buildup to bring a city already filled with people who despise Bush to the boiling point?

Is my tinfoil hat on too tight?

8. Oui, oui, mon amie!
I'm starting to think that they got a double whammy out of the fake terra alert.

Few of us outside of NYC know what it is to experience the fear of being attacked again. We haven't been through it. A fake alert to us is a pain in the ass, a joke, just plain bullshit, more of the same from the liars in the WH. That's why I think the FAKE part of the alert won't get much traction. To a New Yorker, it has a completely different meaning. And yes, they are going to be livid. And with good reason.

All that much easier to incite. Man, I just really hope I'm wearing my Reynolds Wrap too tight.
