1. Today's terror alert based on 42 month old data! - a bit of a lag
Leads one to the question - why today?

:-)

2. Keith Olbermann is kicking ass and taking names tonight. . .
he pointed out the history of presidents manipulating "threats" for political gain, aired the Dean clip, then seriously questioned the timing of it all. Said it was the duty of every American to question the timing of these kind of threats--he mentioned the New Republic story again (KO ain't letting that one go!)Also said that Ridge all but gave a campaign commercial for Shrub on Sunday!

13. Olbermann rules. I don't know how he gets away with it at MSNBC
He seems to be the only one yelling "Bullshit!" about all the ridiculous stuff we see every day. He almost manages to make up for that fuckstick Scarborough.

6. the puke version of "counter-attack" to the obvious gains by Kerry;
and these rovian macchiavellis know very well that the "inside questions" show HUGE gains by Kerry (never mind the "bounce" cowpies) like the WaPo/ABC poll detailed just today; these kinds of gains are enough to get their hair on fire ...
above all, DO NOT BE AFRAID ... work like hell for our ticket, though!

11. WHAT?
Edited on Mon Aug-02-04 07:56 PM by nu_duer
This is based on PRE-9*11 data?

The bush gang never said when the surveilence activities ocurred. This is from when (allegedly) aq was scouting locations for the 9*11 attack. Damn!

Oh, man.

I knew it was bull. Political bull. Twisting the facts again - with national security, no less, for a few points in a poll.

Please, please let this become widespread knowledge - on every channel, over and over again.

8. Bush is obviously getting pounded by Kerry on the campaign trail.
Edited on Mon Aug-02-04 07:45 PM by Bullshot
So, Karl Rove's only recourse is to keep crying wolf and hoping it takes attention away from Kerry's campaign and reinforces the simpletons' beliefs that we're not in a position to change leaders under this constant atmosphere of threats and fear.

Sick!

These warnings are happening more and more often. Now, Tom Ridge took it to the next level and actually elevated the warning level on his color chart. Merely crying wolf without elevating the warning level was beginning to create apathy. I'm wondering if and when this constant crying wolf loses its effectiveness, would these low-lifes actually take it to the next level and actually blow up some building here in the U.S.

It doesn't seem to bother the Bushes. They go ahead and visit the very area where they elevated the terrorist alert.

nobody will believe it when the wolf really comes.

23. With regard to that, didn't Bush himself say the
Secret Service overruled him on 9/11 and wouldn't let him go back to Washington? Now, wouldn't those same Secret Service overrule Laura and the daughters going to the very building that is supposed to be in jeopardy - WHAT A CROCK OF SHIT!!!!!

26. I'm worried about that too~
Will they actually take it to the next level?

I think they will. I'm convinced it's the only way they could win the election.
