Dean speech on CNN Crossfire.
I think this is too funny! Everybody still gets upset by the great Doctor!

1. The Crossfire set should be burned
It's an utterly useless show.

6. Why? It's the only show on CNN that still has liberal points of view
allowed on it. If Crossfire goes then there will be none.

2. That is quite good. It is getting attention.
Dean's statement to CNN was that Kerry has a right to his opinion, I have a right to mine.

Kerry says he is still on board. Of course, there should not even be a question.

3. I'm sure this was planned
The Kerry campaign has Dean say something a lot of people suspect but that Kerry can't say. Great move.

5. I am sort of inclined to believe that in a way.
I do know that donations to the Dean group, Democracy for America, have been faster today. Someone is inspired. He is getting thousands of letters to say thanks.

11. gree. I think this is the only way Dean would have agreed to
support his campaign. Howard doesn't appear to be someone who would support Kerry just because he is the winning candidate. I think he would have told him he has to be able to speak what he believes.

I do however think it is a great move to have your surrogates throw the darts and have Kerry stay above the fray.

7. How about that?
Why doesn't Carville challenge him and say that Zell Miller is a DINO?

8. Stand by for some HARD NEWS Leslie Blitzkrieg!
I just changed the channel when you came on, like I do EVERY time you come on my TV! Your abnormal love affair with the Cheerleader in Chimp is sickening! You and Bush should get a room!

9. Dean is going to be the guy who charges the machine-gun nest.
It's pretty clear to me that Howard is going to be the guy who speaks the unspeakable--- those things we all know/suspect, but that Kerry himself can't say. Howard's good at it, and isn't afraid to do it, and I think Kerry is going to let him go ahead and say what needs to be said.

10. Of course Tucker plays a clip of Dean, and immediately misrepresents
what Dean just said. Dean says in the clip, "It's just impossible to know how much of this is real and how much of this is politics, and I suspect there's some of both in it." They then cut to Tucker who says, "So Dean says this is all made up." (No, he didn't say that you evil twerp).

Also, about twenty minutes before that Judy Woodruff did a piece on crazy Howard Dean. She played a clip of Dean saying we're no safer with Saddam captured, as if that was proof that Dean makes outrageously wrong statements. I wonder how she convinces herself that we're safer when bush keeps jacking up the terror alerts?

12. Man, I notice Kos bloggers are distancing themselves big time.
There is one who always posts on the Kerry blog who is calling someone a troll who thinks the Dems should support Dean.

I was surprised at her really.

I don't much care, but Kos is really distancing from him. I do hate that.

I think our Democrats are way too afraid to even say they are distorting his words. It makes us support his group all the more.

13. Guess they haven't learned anything from the pubs, huh?
That tactic has been very successful for the Pubs over the years. They get everybody hating Fallwell, or McConnel and their candidate still looks like the good guy.

We dems have to learn this! You can't win a gun fight with a rock!
